Cava de’ Tirreni. Borgo Scacciaventi and Abbey of SS. Trinity

In this pretty town, it is possible to stroll along the street characterized by arcades and full of shops, up to the Borgo Scacciaventi, an ancient commercial center of this city in medieval times, once called “Marcina”. To visit the Abbey of SS. Trinity dating back to 1011 and its complex: the Chapel of SS. Cavensi Fathers, the Grotta di Sant’Alferio, the Ancient Chapels with altars from the 11th century, the Romanesque Cloister, the Ancient and New Chapter Hall, the Chapel of San Germano, the Catacombs, the Lombard Cemetery and the Museum.
